The hidden foodie capital of Rome. Not touristy, just tasty. Mercato mornings, magic afternoons. Small streets, big flavors. Neighborhood vibe. 
Testaccio Mercato – farm-to-you. Went every day.
Pasticceria Barberini – coffee and those pastries! As scrump as they are cute.
Masto – go for the Gin cocktails, stay for the bold and delicious entrĆ©e flavors, lovely owner
Angelina – BEAUTIFUL! Five levels of terrazzas, great quirky cocktails.
Da Olio – the chicken cacciatore of your dreams
Borghese gelato - right on Testaccio piazza

Lariano bread > everything
Pinsa = the Roman happiness pizza
Melanzane (eggplant) everything
Coda alla vaccinara – don’t bother asking what it is, u need to eat this Roman pasta dish
